It's saddening that I can't meet my soulmate.

To begin this long overdue post, i have been convinced that i am madly, deeply, truly in love with John Mayer. It's funny because I can actually remember the day I heard the song
Clarity for the very first time, and absolutely hating it. I thought his voice was actually so ridiculously awful and then the song Your Body is a Wonderland confirmed my hatred. Years later one of my friends showed me Slow Dancing in a Burning Room and right then and there i fell head over heels. I sound crazy, and well, I am. He is a lyrical GENIUS, and I don't care if his voice is a little funny sometimes, it adds to his charm. I have heard from numerous people that he's a complete dick, so I will avoid all attempts in crossing paths with him (which blows). I would do soooo many things to see him live!
Here are some of my favorite lines:

•Baby you’re the only light I ever saw.

• I was the one you always dreamed of, you were the one I tried to draw.

•Gravity, stay the hell away from me.

•How come the only way to know how high you get me, is to see how far I fall?
•Lonely was the song I sang, til the day you came.

•No I’m not color blind, I know the world is black and white.

•So scared of getting older; I’m only good at being young.

•But this morning, there’s a calm I can’t explain.

• And I will wait to find, if this will last forever.

•Some of us, we’re hardly ever here. The rest of us, we’re born to disappear.

• And I will pay no mind, worrying about the rainy weather.

•Then you come on crashing in, like the realest thing.

•I’m gonna steer clear, burn up in your atmosphere.

•Cause I’d die if I saw you, cause I’d die if I didn’t see you there.

•But when my loneliness is through, I’m gonna find another you.

This list could actually go on for a while. I love you John Mayer.

Sing-Song

It was a rainy day, I was stuck inside, and I decided to be a little creative. As many know, I have an unhealthy obsession with the band Radiohead. I could listen to them all day long-seriously. I think their lyrics are absolutely brilliant, although sometimes hard to understand. I compiled bits and pieces from a bunch of their songs, and created my own. I've never written a song, but I figured since my parents are so musically talented, maybe I should try to be too. Here it is:

How come I end up where I went wrong?
There was nothing to fear, nothing to doubt
How come I end up where I went wrong?
I don’t wanna be crippled and cracked

I used to be alright, what happened?
All my past and futures
My thoughts are misguided and a little naïve
I wish it was the sixties, I wish I could be happy

Release me, release me
Release me, release me

Karma police, I’ve given all I can, it’s not enough
I’ve seen hell upon this earth
I’m on your side, no where to hide
I’ve lost my way. I’ve lost my way

Release me, release me
Release me, release me

Hey man, slow down, slow down
Your eyes, they turn me
I’d be crazy not to follow
Follow where you lead

You think you drive me crazy, well
You gave me sunshine, made me happy
And everything was in its right place

Release me, release me
Release me, release me

I don’t wanna be your friend, I just wanna be your lover

Carpe Diem.

It has come to my attention that high school kids these days have been wanting one thing-the weekend. Monday comes along and their mind sets are already attached to the following friday night. I think it has become a little ridiculous, actually. Yeah, school sucks yo. We all know it. I would be a hypocrite to say that I haven't been guilty of this. But it has almost become like we are all just living half a life- living for those two days of the week. Appreciate the five days before that-who knows, weekends have been known to disappoint us.
By the way- Carpe Diem means 'seize the day'.
